Devlog05: Start production sprint 1 week2
This weeks changes:
In this weeks iteration of our game we have finally gone into some more gameplay elements. Not only are the first artworks hitting the game. But we also have entered the age of sound with footsteps and some flashy hitsounds.
First audio!
After very unnecessary problems we finaly have our music and our first sfx. For now we have the footsteps, a sfx for when the player gets hit, a sfx for when the player throws and the music. The sfx are place holders and will need some further work in the future of course, but it is a start. The last couple of weeks where mainly focused on systems and setting up the foundation, wich is hopefully is done now. So more sfx to come in the future.
These are the mechanics we changed:
When you turn the analog in circles you can now do a spin attack. when this is used close to another player it knock him back a little.
The player can now pick up and throw items. When you hit a player with the thrown item it knock the other player back.
The cratespawner is added. It spawn boxes you can pick up and throw towards the other player.
Art:
For art this week we worked on finishing up most of our essential models and set them up for easy iteration if necessary.
the character model is essentially done. We also made it's main material with options to change the player color as we like.
The throwables are also done, although the color are still subject to change.
On the environment side there was significant progress to our major interactive/dynamic element with the boat model.
