Devlog06: Finishing sprint 1
Changes made this week:
We started the blockout of the level this week.
The boxes that the item spawner drops now break open sometimes revealing other items. These items are a starfish-shuriken, waterballoon, wrench and the famous goof juice bottle.
The basic items are the starfish-shuriken, wrench and the crate they all knock players back. But the crate also spawn an item when you hit something with it.
The special items are the waterballoon and the goofjuice bottle they also knock players back but are more powerfull the goofjuice bottle also inverts the controls of the hit player.
Art:
On the art side this week we worked on the level block-out seen above and got most of our environment props in order to start dressing up the level.
Finally we also made the texture and material for the indicator that shows the direction you're facing and will be throwing
Main Menu
we now also have a main menu and a screen where you will be able to select how many players will play in the round.
However they are not implemented yet and thus not in the current build.
Audio:
All objects exept for the starfish now have audio. The problem at the moment is that the mixing is not yet done so you can basicaly only hear the bottle break, but trust me, the other sounds are there.
Another problem is that the audio is designed for when the objects disapear or break but there are a lot of hit detection problems so the audio is very buggy right now. All of these problems will probably be solved by next week
